Call of Duty is set to have some real competition this year, as streamers have warned that Battlefield 6 could have the juice to pull players away from Black Ops 7.

For the first time in four years, CoD and Battlefield are about to go head-to-head once again at the end of 2025. Leaks have revealed that Black Ops 7 is due to arrive on November 14, while BF6 will reportedly drop on October 10.

Ahead of the official multiplayer reveal, a number of content creators have been invited to an event to play Battlefield 6 early. Gameplay footage has also leaked online, and the initial reaction could be a concern for Call of Duty.

Early Battlefield 6 reactions are a worry for Black Ops 7

A number of streamers took to X to share their early reactions, and the response was overwhelmingly positive.

“Battlefield putting belt to a*s,” posted FaZe Swagg. “Holy it looks turnt.”

“Call of Duty might genuinely need to be worried about Battlefield this year…” wrote ModernWarzone, before he praised the audio design in a leaked clip of multiplayer gameplay:

“The audio design of pre-alpha Battlefield 6 already sounds so good, I can’t wait to hear and see what the final build looks and sounds like.”

Creators attending the preview event were equally positive, with ‘TBAGGaming’ praising the multiplayer reveal trailer going out to the public on July 31.

“You guys are NOT ready for the Battlefield 6 Multiplayer reveal trailer! Honestly one of the best I’ve ever seen! I’m insanely impressed,” he said on X.

Of course, this isn’t the first time that the community has started to hype up a supposed ‘CoD killer.’ XDefiant was expected to be a real contender but went offline shortly after release, and the most recent Battlefield game, 2042, struggled after a shaky launch.
