A dedicated and probably very tired Elden Ring player has managed to slay all 207 bosses without performing a single attack.
Elden Ring is a notoriously difficult game, full of trials designed to test both your skills and your patience. Some of the bosses, such as Malenia, have gone down in history as some of the toughest found in any Soulslike, pushing even veteran Soulslike fans to their limit.
But although some players will have likely struggled to finish the game at all, others have gone out of their way to make life even harder by beating it without taking a hit.
Now, one player might have just achieved the most gruelling feat yet, by overcoming every single boss without even attempting an attack.
Elden Ring player defeats all 207 bosses using nothing but dodges
This was achieved by well-known Elden Ring streamer and YouTuber Skumnut, who wanted to pull off an all bosses run that “wastes as much time as possible.” So, he decided to put away his sword and even ban himself from using Summons.
Instead, the only way he was able to harm the bosses was through dodging, which he was able to do using the Briar Set armor. This prickly outfit has thorns on the outside, which deal a small amount of damage every time it makes contact with an enemy during a dodge roll.
He also used the Rupture Crystal Tear, which offered some additional damage by exploding in the bosses’ faces, but this could only be used once per fight.
He documented every fight in a huge video on his YouTube, and as you can imagine, it took a ridiculous long time to take down each one. It even took around 30 minutes just to beat the Putrid Avatar, one of the easier bosses early on in the game.
Despite this, though, he still somehow managed to complete the run and beat the Elden Beast in just over 57 hours, which is actually faster than many players completed it using the full suit of abilities. It’s even more impressive when you consider that it includes all of the DLC bosses, too.
It’s been over three years since the original Elden Ring first launched, so it’s impressive that players are still finding new ways to challenge themselves. But to be honest, we don’t recommend you try this one at home.
