Everything that happens in the first trailer for Daredevil: Born Again Season 2

Fans have been desperate to know more about the future of the violent Marvel TV show ever since it ended with Kingpin (Vincent D’Onofrio) taking control of New York in the show’s shocking cliffhanger back in March.

Charlie Cox will return to play Matt Murdock and his devil-eared alter ego in Daredevil: Born Again Season 2. He’ll also be joined by Ritter who reprises her role as Jessica Jones for the first time since her Netflix series ended in 2019.

Marvel hasn’t officially released the trailer for Daredevil: Born Again Season 2, but Ritter accidentally leaked a chunk of it by recording it on her Instagram story. Here’s what happens in the footage.

Jessica Jones, Bullseye, and Foggy Nelson show up in the Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 trailer

The teaser is roughly one minute long, and starts by showing off Matt slow dancing with fellow lawyer and long-time love interest Karen Page (Deborah Ann Woll), while Benjamin Poindexter (AKA Bullseye) gets a milkshake. It also shows a moment where Kingpin and Vanessa (Ayelet Zurer) are laughing over dinner, while children play and laugh in the streets with members of the Vigilante Task Force.

These clips look like a twisted version of The BB Report vignettes from Season 1, and it’s possible that the Mayor’s office is producing propaganda to maintain order in New York.

Some kind of blast stuns Matt while he’s with Karen, before there are clips of a SWAT team shooting at an armored truck, and we get a brief first look at Matthew Lillard’s mysterious new character.

Jessica Jones arrives (wearing her classic motorbike boots) and is shown fighting off another SWAT team, with Daredevil also dishing out a beating and Kingpin throwing some bloody punches in a boxing ring against an unknown opponent.

There’s also a brief shot of Foggy Nelson (Elden Henson), which is interesting since he was infamously killed off by Bullseye in the opening moments of the previous season.

The trailer was scored to Lithonia by Childish Gambino, and it doesn’t feature much dialogue, so the plot is under wraps for now. But it’s safe to assume that it’ll revolve around Daredevil building his resistance against Kingpin.
