It kicks off with a guy surfing, then making it onto shore, before monsters appear from under the sand and take him out.
There’s then quick cuts of Titans attacking in highly inhabited cities, and the largely uninhabited Skull Island, before the teaser ends with a sea creature wrapping itself around a boat, and pulling it underwater.
Monarch: Legacy of Monsters Season 2 plot
Here’s the official Legacy of Monsters synopsis: “Season 2 will pick up with the fate of Monarch – and the world – hanging in the balance. The dramatic saga reveals buried secrets that reunite our heroes (and villains) on Kong’s Skull Island, and a new, mysterious village where a mythical Titan rises from the sea.
“The ripple effects of the past make waves in the present day, blurring the bonds between family, friend and foe – all with the threat of a Titan event on the horizon.”
That’s it in terms of specifics right now, though we do know that Amber Midthunder’s character Isabel – who is new to the ensemble – will be “an intelligent and powerful businesswoman,” and “heavily recurring” in Season 2, as per Variety.
