A fake Justin Bieber was allowed to perform at a nightclub in Las Vegas and run up a $10,000 bar tab, before anyone realised he wasn’t the real deal.
At some point or another, everyone has fallen for someone trying to make out like they’re actually someone famous. Celebrity lookalikes have gotten better, though there are some pretty bad ones out there.
Well, on August 16, Las Vegas nightclub XS at Wynn thought that they had the real Justin Bieber in the house. Dylan Desclos, who was supposed to be the Canadian singer-songwriter, was invited on stage to perform with DJ Gryffin, and even though pretty much everyone had their camera out recording things, something seemed off.
The would-be Bieber wouldn’t take off his sunglasses, even inside the nightclub, and plenty of the tattoos on his body didn’t even match.

A number of social media posts from attendees questioned if they were getting “scammed” by the appearance, claiming to have sussed out the fake Bieber.
According to TMZ, it took the staff a minute to realise something was off after Desclos joined DJ Gryffin on stage to sing ‘Sorry’. The would-be Bieber was kicked out once staff realised the hoax and banned him from appearing in the future.
DJ Gryffin, who had invited the impersonator on stage, said he was ultimately “sorry” for bringing the impersonator up to perform. “Dark venue and loud music didn’t help here,” he posted on Instagram about ‘biebergate2025’.
According to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, Desclos and his team – which he had sent in advance to big up the hoax – ran up a $10,000 bar tab at XS.
It was apparently paid before the fake Bieber was hit with his subsequent lifetime ban from the Wynn. It was too late, however, to say sorry.
