Matt Purslow’s review of Fallout’s first season for IGN deems it one of the "best video game adaptations ever made.” Why, you may ask? Besides the absolutely rocking power armor, I agree that the series managed to find the right balance for adapting a game franchise for all audiences. As Matt goes on to describe, “there’s a megaton of treats for long-term fans thanks to immaculate production design and attention to detail, but never at the expense of making this an ideal starting point for the uninitiated.”

How to get the Fallout 4K in Amazon’s deal is relatively simple, and unlike most Prime Day promotions, doesn’t require a Prime membership. You just have to add three eligible items to your cart and the cheapest item will automatically be discounted to $0. The promo also stacks, so you get one free item for every three you add to your cart. You can see the full selection of what’s included here or take a look at some more of our recommendations below.

Bonus Features on Fallout Season 1

Besides having a high quality version of the TV show you no one can take from you, another benefit of picking up a Blu-ray is getting access to some classic bonus features. In the case of Fallout, these features primarily dive into the various film-making elements that went into adapting the nuclear wasteland for television. You also get the Vault Seller’s Survival Guide, a collection of a black and white shorts “produced by Vault-Tech.” Here’s the full list:

  • Audio Commentary featuring Director Jonathan Nolan and Walton Goggins
  • Behind-the-Scenes Featurettes
    • Inside Episode 1
    • Inside Season One
    • Creating the Wasteland
    • Safe and Sound
    • Set Your Sets on 2296
    • The Costumes of Fallout
    • Writing for the Wasteland
    • Meet the Filmmaker (and Fanatic) Jonathan Nolan
    • Prosthetics & Makeup Gone Nuclear
    • Becoming the Ghoul
    • Console to Camera
    • Welcome to the World of Fallout
  • Vault Seller's Survival Guide

Fallout Season 2 Hits Prime Video This Winter

Despite Pete Davidson’s supposed prophecy that Walton Goggins will be the next victim of cultural whiplash, I think it’s safe to say we’re all looking forward to seeing the Ghoul and the gang return to the wasteland. The second season of the Fallout TV show is set to premiere on Prime Video on December 17 of this year. If you’re itching for spoilers, you can check out our breakdown of the cast and characters we expect to return.
