At $29.99, that's 25% off, and the same price as the standard MSRP for the Blu-ray and DVD copies, but with much better image quality. If you own a 4K Blu-ray player (such as the one included with your Xbox Series X or PS5), then it's absolutely worth owning the 4K UHD version of one of the video game to TV show adaptations ever made.

Unfortunately, the exclusive Amazon Fallout Season 1 4K UHD Steelbook isn't part of the deal and is still entirely sold out at the time of writing. Fallout Season 1 hit Prime Video in April 2024 and was an instant breakout hit. In May this year, Amazon announced a December 2025 release window for Fallout Season 2, with the Prime Video show also renewed for Season 3.

Considering how hard it is to find some TV shows made for streamers in a physical format to own (I'm looking at you, Netflix, give me Midnight Mass on Blu-ray!), it's nice that Amazon went to the effort to release Fallout Season 1 as physical media and not keep it locked away on their Prime Video streaming platform. It means everyone can watch it now if they so choose, and it's great for fans looking to hold onto something that means a lot to them in the long term.

Should I Wait For Black Friday Before Buying?

Like most things when it comes to Black Friday, it's complicated. Most of the time deals like this come down to personal preference, as often enough stuff does tend to get cheaper with time (albeit world events have me doubting this philsophy recently).

If you're asking me, yes, I can see Fallout Season 1 being even cheaper during the Black Friday sales. So, if you've got the patience and aren't looking to rewatch now, or simply want to wait for a better deal, it could be just a few months away. But, if you want to gift yourself with the luxury of time, then $30 is still a genuinely good offer and worth considering if you want to buy now. In conclusion, it's entirely up to you!

As mentioned, ahead of its full reveal at Opening Night Live 2025 this week, IGN also has the first images of Fallout Season 2 for fans to see, including a new look at Walton Goggins’ Cooper Howard in a pre-war flashback on the New Vegas strip.

As announced, Fallout Season 2 is set to head into New Vegas territory, following the lead set by video game developer Obsidian Entertainment. In the image, we see a reflection of the Lucky 38, the resort and casino owned by Mr. House in the New Vegas video game.

We also see Lucy (Ella Purnell) and the Ghoul (Cooper Howard in post-apocalyptic form) on a barren landscape, Max (Aaron Moten) wearing a new outfit while stepping out with his Brotherhood of Steel brethren, and Kyle MacLachlan's Hank (Lucy's villainous father) in what we think is a new position of power on the New Vegas strip.
