One of Call of Duty’s most iconic SMGs is finally set to return in Black Ops 6 Season 6 as part of The Haunting Halloween event.
Even with Black Ops 7 on the horizon, Black Ops 6 has continued to get some pretty big updates. And, with Halloween just around the corner, that means one last blowout before the new game takes over.
The annual Haunting event is returning to Black Ops 6 and Warzone, with another crossover skin coming in the form of Predator from Alien vs Predator. There will be plenty of spooky cosmetics to boot as well, with Jason also being shown in the trailer.
However, one of the most eye-catching additions this time around is the return of the MP40. Well, with a new name – the Dresden 9mm.

That’s right, one of the most iconic SMGs is back in Black Ops 6 Season 6. The MP40 last appeared in Call of Duty back in CoD: Vanguard, so it hasn’t been missing for too long.
In terms of how you’ll be able to get your hands on it, you’ll need to reach Battle Pass Page 3 to unlock the Dresden 9mm.
The SMG has a 32-round magazine capacity, with the ability to add Optic, Muzzle, Barrel, Magazine, Rear Grip, Stock, Laser, and Fire Mods attachments. You’ll get more of these as you go through the 33 weapon levels.
As noted, there are plenty of spooky additions to get your teeth sunk into – well, as long as the zombies and Predator don’t get you first.
The MP40 will be a powerful way to fight back against the hordes of the undead. So, make sure you get it equipped in your loadouts.
