A Marvel fan has managed to sneak onto the set of the highly anticipated (and top secret) Avengers: Doomsday, with their now-deleted video going viral – and one detail in the footage connects to the X-Men in a significant way.
As the next big Endgame-style team-up movie, there’s a lot riding on Avengers: Doomsday. One surprising piece of casting news arrived last year with the announcement that Robert Downey Jr. will be returning to the MCU as Doctor Doom rather than Iron Man.
Alongside Doom, every superhero but the kitchen sink will be joining, including The Fantastic Four, some of the Thunderbolts, Captain America, and Thor, as well as some familiar faces from the Fox-verse such as Patrick Stewart’s Professor X and Ian McKellen’s Magneto.
The upcoming Marvel movie has been filming in London, UK, since March 2025, and though it’s being kept under wraps, a TikTok user who goes by @theyneversawitcoming managed to sneak on the set and take a video.
Madripoor bar spotted in Avengers: Doomsday set video leak
In the clip, which has since been removed from TikTok but shared on the user’s Instagram page, shows a Madripoor bar on the set. For the uninitiated, Madripoor is a fictional Southeast Asian island notorious for its lawlessness.
Thanks to its political instability, it’s a neutral ground for outcasts, mercenaries, and mutants alike. It’s a location heavily tied to Wolverine in the Marvel comics, while operating under the alias Patch.
Madripoor made its first live-action appearance in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, where it was revealed as the new base of operations for Sharon Carter – who was secretly working as the Power Broker, the Disney+ show’s shadowy arms dealer and fixer.
The reappearance of the island on the set of Avengers: Doomsday could signal a few major developments, the first being the long-delayed resolution to Sharon Carter’s storyline.
It may also serve as a segue to properly introduce mutants in the MCU, or, even more excitingly, it may suggest Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine will appear. Although it’s long been rumored he’ll be starring in the film, the studio has yet to confirm this.
With the Fox X-Men characters now crossing into the MCU timeline, this location could be where everything collides, or where new alliances are forged in the fight against Doctor Doom.
The news has certainly sparked intrigue among the fans, with one writing on X/Twitter, “Is it time for the Power Broker’s return?” Another simply asked, “Wolverine?”
A third added, “If we get Madripoor in this movie, it would be nice if this means we finally get to resolve the whole Sharon/Power-Broker storyline, maybe as part of an opening action scene to introduce Sam’s team and/or reintroduce Yelena’s team.”
