The Tampa International Airport has issued a statement effectively “banning” anyone from wearing pajamas after a previous ban targeted crocs.

Getting ready to fly on a plane can be an awkward and uncomfortable experience for flyers who are ready for a vacation or traveling the globe.

As such, it’s not uncommon for some to ditch their standard attire, suits or even jeans for something more comfy like pajamas.

Unfortunately for anyone flying through or with a layover in Tampa, the airport has issued a stark warning that it doesn’t want anyone in their PJs or crocs.

Tampa airport urges flyers to stop wearing pajamas

In a viral post, the Florida airport took issue with flyers in their pajamas, writing, “we’ve seen enough. We’ve had enough. It’s time to ban pajamas at Tampa International Airport.”

The airport cited its previous croc ban, which was enacted after the TSA decided to finally let passengers keep their shoes on during security screenings, claiming it was implemented successfully.

“We know this decision could be disruptive to someone in your life. It’s time to have a difficult conversation with them. You can do this. We believe in you. The madness stops today. The movement starts now,” they cheekily added.

This post comes months after the US’s Transportation Department called on stricter dresscodes at airports with Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy taking issue with pajamas.

“Whether it’s a pair of jeans and a decent shirt. I would encourage people to maybe dress a little better, which maybe encourages us to maybe behave all a little better,” he said back in November.

Of course, Tampa airport’s “ban” likely won’t actually be enforced and is more so just a way of the airport to plead with people to wear real clothing.

It’s not uncommon for brands of anything from fast food chains to products like Dude Wipes to have a comical presence on social media, so don’t expect to be prevented from boarding if you do show up in pajamas.
