Food influencers Nina Santiago and Patrick Blackwood were wounded mid-review as a car crashed through the window of a restaurant, knocking them out of their booth.

Content creators Santiago (known online as NinaUnrated) and Blackwood were enjoying a meal at their “favorite” local restaurant in Houston, Texas, when disaster struck.

Roughly 10 minutes into their recording, in the middle of chewing through sliders, they were struck by a vehicle. An SUV crashed through the window at a claimed 35-40mph, shattering the glass, destroying the table, and knocking them both from the booth they were seated at.

While the pair walked away with no major injuries, they were both scarred from the accident. Transported to a hospital, they were treated for multiple lacerations, which resulted in a number of stitches.

Food influencers “grateful” to be alive after near-death experience

“Tomorrow is not promised,” Santiago shared in a follow-up post shortly after. “Beyond grateful to be alive. This could have been our last meal.”

“I’m just blessed and grateful,” Blackwood followed up in the full video. “Glad to be alive.”

The two content creators were eating at Cuvee Culinary Creations, a spot they frequent as it’s nearby. They were enjoying a spread of sliders, wings, mac and cheese, and a selection of drinks.

After a few minutes of eating, the SUV rammed through the restaurant.

“We were laughing, having a great time, and right as we tapped our sliders together in a cheers moment, out of nowhere, this SUV came barreling through the glass wall at 35-40 mph,” Santiago wrote in the description of her YouTube video.

The table was knocked over as glass shot through the air. Santiago fell down as Blackwood was pushed toward her.

Despite being shaken both physically and mentally, the pair returned the following day.

They sat down for a meal at the very same restaurant less than 24 hours after the incident, though not at a booth near the window this time.
