Fortnite’s next major update is set to be fully inspired by The Simpsons, with the entire map turning into Springfield for the entire season.

Crossovers have become a huge part of Fortnite‘s identity, with everything from Marvel superheroes and Star Wars characters to viral memes appearing in the game. It’s not just the occasional skin, either, as sometimes these collaborations last for a whole season.

In recent weeks, there have been a number of reports from dataminers revealing that Chapter 6 Season 5 will be a The Simpsons-themed mini-season, where the iconic animated show takes over the battle royale.

This was later confirmed by Epic Games, and now, a new set of leaks has revealed that the map will be transformed into Springfield.

Leaks say full Simpsons Springfield map is coming to Fortnite

According to reliable accounts like ‘NotPaloleaks’ and ‘SpushFNBR,’ once the season goes live on November 1, players can wave goodbye to Freaky Fields and Shogun’s Solitude. Instead, the season will take place on a recreated version of Springfield, home of The Simpsons since the series first aired in 1989.

This will include a POI of the Nuclear Power Plant, where Homer Simpson works alongside Carl and Lenny, as well as his boss, Mr Burns.

Although the Power Plant is the only POI mentioned, don’t be surprised to see plenty of other nods to the show. At the very least, it’s likely we’ll see locations like The Simpsons’ house, the Kwik-E-Mart, or Moe’s Tavern.

It’s not entirely clear if the existing map is being reworked into Springfield, or if Epic have created a new island from the ground up. Either way, since this will only be a mini season, it will only be live for a few weeks before normality resumes.

In a world where a remake of The Simpsons: Hit & Run looks increasingly unlikely, this is likely the closest fans will get to wreaking havoc in Springfield again for the foreseeable future.
