Fortnite’s Simpsons update has taken an unexpectedly violent turn, as players discovered that the friendly neighbor Ned Flanders NPC has racked up more than 33,000 kills across the game.

Epic Games confirmed the stat on X after a clip of Ned heroically saving a player went viral. “Just checked… Ned Flanders has over 33k global eliminations in Fortnite lol,” the official Fortnite account wrote, sending the internet into a frenzy.

Added as part of the November 1 crossover, Flanders can be found wandering around Evergreen Terrace, the new Springfield-themed POI that recreates the famous neighborhood from the show.

He usually keeps to himself inside his house or near the front lawn, offering cheerful greetings to nearby players. But if you shoot him first, he’ll drop the niceties and swing his two ski poles that will deal enough “diddly” damage to send you back to the lobby screen.

Ned Flanders is going on a rampage in Fortnite

Since the update went live, clips of “Killer Ned” quickly flooded social media, with fans joking that the mustachioed Springfield resident had finally snapped after years of neighborly torment.

One comment read, “We’re officially in the weirdest timeline. Ned Flanders is a war criminal in Fortnite now.” Another added, “Ned Flanders out here flexing 33k+ eliminations in Fortnite? Absolute legend!”

Flanders isn’t the only Springfield NPC roaming the island. Marge can be found inside the Simpson home at Evergreen Terrace, Bart appears near a gas station north of the Donut District, and Homer turns up inside the Springfield Nuclear Power Plant.

Meanwhile, boss characters like Krusty the Clown also appear across locations such as Kamp Krusty and the 33 Cents Store, though his exact spawn changes each match.

The Simpsons update has proven to be one of Fortnite’s most chaotic collaborations yet, introducing a full Springfield Island map with locations like Moe’s Tavern, the Power Plant, and the Qwik E Mart. The crossover also includes skins for the main family, themed loot like the Super Squishee healing item, and mythic gear inspired by Springfield’s strangest inventions.

Even with all that content, it’s the quietly lethal Ned Flanders who’s become the breakout star, and with more than 33,000 eliminations to his name, Fortnite’s friendliest neighbor might just be its deadliest.
