A new Overwatch 2 bug is giving players the ability to run all four of their Perks at once, giving them a major advantage in matches.

The Season 17 update has arrived in Overwatch 2, bringing the long-awaited map voting feature a fresh Battle Pass full of 8-bit skins. It also adds new heroes to Stadium mode and comes with a ton of balancing changes.

But on top of all these additions, the update also had an unexpected consequence, as a bug has been discovered that lets players select all four of a hero’s Perks at once, instead of having to choose between them.

OW2 players can run every Perk at the same time in Season 17

Shortly after the patch went live, fans noticed players in their games who had every Perk active at once. So, Reddit user ‘stanners14’ headed into the Practice Range to see if this was a big or if they were running into cheaters.

They found that, if you’re quick enough, you can actually select both Perks whenever the choice is presented to you.

If you nail this both times, you can end up with all four, but even just getting it right once unlocks three instead of the usual two. So, for example, if you were playing as Genji, you could have Acrobatics, Dragon’s Thirst, Blade Twisting, and Mediation at the same time.

But while this may seem like an OP strategy to use in-game, it’s not advised. If other players catch wind of you exploiting the bug to your advantage, there’s a high likelihood that you’ll be reported and possibly banned.

“Yeah definitely don’t do this in any real game, I’ve only seen people do this purposefully in one match so far and most people ended up reporting them,” added one reply.

“PSA to anybody thinking of trying this in a real game, you will be permanently banned with no chance to appeal if you’re reported for it,” said another.
