Black Ops 7 has introduced a brand-new attachment that’s set to take over the meta and become a must-use in your multiplayer loadouts.
When building classes to take into a Black Ops 7 match, there are plenty of different factors to consider. Of course, it’s important to pick one of the best guns that suits your style and the map you’re playing, but it’s the attachments that take a weapon from being good to great.
Since the start of the year, most meta builds have made use of the same pool of attachments. But a new Optic has arrived that’s set to replace all the rest as the go-to sight going forward.
Fang Hoverpoint Elo is Black Ops 7’s new meta Optic
As part of the Week 3 Weekly Challengers, you can now unlock the Fang Hoverpoint Elo Optic, a clean red dot sight that’s very easy to use. But the real bonus is that it offers a huge boost in recoil stabilization, at the expense of a little bit of handling.
With this equipped, your weapon’s recoil is much smoother, especially when you first start firing, making it much easier to control and land shots with. After a few games, we found it to be extremely effective on long-range guns like the EGRT-17 or X9 Maverick, as it removed much of the visual recoil that can be distracting when using other Optics.
The best part is that it’s available on every single gun in the game, so it’s usable no matter your playstyle. Whether you prefer the snappiness of an SMG or the bulky power of an LMG, extra accuracy is always welcome, as long as you can cope with a small mobility penalty.
In many ways, this new attachment is very reminiscent of the JAK Glassless Opic from Modern Warfare 3, which offered similar benefits.
