Popular Roblox game Grow a Garden is finally getting trading after millions of users took to social media to request the feature.

Back in June, Grow a Garden went viral after it became the first Roblox game to surpass player count records held by some of the biggest games ever — including Fortnite.

It has maintained a sizable playerbase since then, with several million people online at almost all times throughout the day.

Users across TikTok, Instagram, and Discord have requested that a trading feature be added to the game as a way to fight against scammers, and now Jandel, the man behind the game, as told fans when to expect it.

When in a public server, sometimes you can get approached by someone looking to trade you one item for another. Unfortunately, however, bad actors in the game will often receive the item without sending their side of the deal.

A proper trading system will fix that, and Jandel says it’s going to be added to the game at the end of July or the beginning of August. Knowing that most of his updates are launched on a Saturday, it’s safe to say trading will be added on July 26 or August 2, 2025.

He revealed the news in a post on Discord, where he also shared his thoughts about some other complaints regarding the game.

The first being the extremely low, .08% chance of hatching the new Kitsune pet added with the Zen update on July 19. He said: “We won’t do this again, no excuses, my bad for this, I wasn’t respecting the community.”

In regard to complaints of “repetitive events,” Jandel says he’s creatively drained and will consult the community for any future ideas.

“The honest answer to this is I have no good ideas for events, I have been doing new events now for 3months… maybe I am creatively drained, but if you want to suggest cool event ideas, I read the starboard every day for ideas,” he said.
