GTA 6 fans suspect a big reveal, such as pre-orders finally going live, is imminent after VI was added to the Xbox Store.
After Rockstar Games released the second GTA 6 trailer and unveiled screenshots and info about the long-awaited title, PlayStation users were immediately able to add it to their Wishlists.
Now, months later, the same can be said for Xbox Series X|S players, and they can even download a placeholder file.
This addition is sparking a lot of discussion and theories about a new trailer or announcement from Rockstar, especially with so many ready to hand the company money for pre-orders.
On June 25, Rockstar Games officially launched the GTA 6 Xbox Store page, giving fans another glimpse at the upcoming blockbuster.
The listing went live Wednesday morning and is now viewable on both Xbox consoles and the official website.
It features the key art from Trailer 2, a batch of screenshots, both trailers, and a short game description, but no pre-order options just yet, with the purchase option reading “Not Currently Available.”
However, you can download a 328.76mb placeholder file. Attempting to “play” the game won’t work, though, as it just shows the artwork before asking players, “Do you own this game or app?”
GTA VI’s addition to the Xbox Store is fueling pre-order speculation. “Pre-orders coming soon?” one asked.
“And does that mean something? Like pre-orders coming soon?” another wondered.
“Can’t wait to preorder,” someone else chimed in.
Thus far, outside of leaked gameplay and claims from insiders, we still have much to learn about what Rockstar has planned for Grand Theft Auto VI, so expect plenty of new trailers and details as we inch closer to release.
