Grand Theft Auto fans have reportedly been creating fake IDs for Rockstar and flying drones at windows, all in the hopes of getting an early look at GTA 6.
Over the years, there have been plenty of stories about GTA fans trying to get an early look at Grand Theft Auto 6. Back in 2024, there were reports of fans driving to Rockstar Games’ New England studio under the cover of darkness and taking a peek through the windows.
Some fans have even gotten to the front door of Rockstar North’s studio in Edinburgh, Scotland, seeing previously unreleased posters for the first time. These daring attempts always raise a collective eyebrow from other fans, believing that these attempts will only make Rockstar slow down development and keep their silence.
The lengths that fans will go to in order to be first to see the game reportedly has Rockstar considering a delay on the physical release of the game.
GTA 6 fans fly drones at windows to get early look
That report, which came from Polish site PPE, has been backed up by a few prominent sources in the GTA community, including KiwiTalkz, who dished on some of the other “crazy” stories they’ve heard about fans trying to get a sneak peek.
“Unfortunately, there are a number of crazy Rockstar fans that would 100% break into retail stores and manufacturing facilities to steal discs, and people on the inside would leak it as well,” the YouTuber posted on X.
“I have heard stories from Rockstar devs over the years of nutty fans trying to get into their buildings to get any info they can from faking IDs to flying drones above windows to try to get images/video.”
Ultimately, anyone trying to break into Rockstar’s property would face the police and criminal proceedings. Meaning, their wait to play GTA 6 would probably be even longer.
