The launch marketing for GTA 6 is set to begin in Summer 2026 according to Rockstar parent company Take-Two Interactive.
GTA 6 has become the most anticipated game of all time, estimated to earn over $10B in lifetime revenue.
Despite a couple of delays, GTA 6 is still on pace to finally release on November 19, 2026 and it seems like the studio is fully locked in on that date.
GTA 6 still on pace for November 19 release
“Our execution throughout Fiscal 2026 has been extraordinary and we are highly confident as we approach Fiscal 2027 – which promises to be groundbreaking for Take-Two and the entire entertainment industry – led by the November 19th release of Grand Theft Auto VI with Rockstar’s launch marketing set to begin this Summer,” Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick said.
“You know me pretty well, for me to even say we’ve got marketing beats coming this summer, is a huge departure from what I usually say, which is that our labels will make marketing announcements,” he told The Game Business.
Zelnick noted that his confidence in the game releasing on its announced date is at an all-time high.
“Any time you’re getting closer to marketing beats, you’re obviously in a place where your confidence level is as high as it can be,” he told IGN.
It’s not clear if this means a third trailer will only release in the summer as fans have grown increasingly eager for new details to arrive.
GTA VI, which has had a treasure trove of leaks over the years, is expected to be one of the most technologically advanced pieces of software ever developed, with one insider claiming its features won’t be matched for 20+ years.
Mixed reports have surfaced regarding the state of the game’s development. Reputable journalist Jason Schreier has claimed Rockstar is still working on VI’s missions and finalizing levels.
Others have said the game is “complete” and the developer is undergoing a massive polishing stage to ensure it can launch as bug-free as possible in Rockstar’s pursuit of perfection.
