GTA Online’s newest update is preparing for the long-awaited arrival of mansions, but it has also mocked something that fans have waited years for.
Even though Grand Theft Auto fans are waiting for GTA 6, Rockstar Games have continued to pump out new updates for GTA Online. Prior to GTA 6’s second delay, many expected the upcoming winter update to be the final big content for GTA Online.
After more than 10 years of waiting, fans will finally be able to purchase a mansion in the Vinewood Hills. The update, which is set to roll out in early December, has gotten plenty of fans excited.
The build-up to the big arrival though started in the November 13 weekly update, with Rockstar dropping a few hints and teasers into Los Santos. That includes a number of prerequisite missions that must be completed to get a discount on an eventual mansion.
GTA Online’s iconic tower mocked by Rockstar
Well, in one of those missions, Rockstar has decided to mock the Migh Hile building that has long sat unfinished in Grand Theft Auto 5 and GTA Online.
During the mission, your contact Raf talks about how every construction company in Los Santos has mob ties and that it’s fine to steal equipment away from them.
Once you approach the Mile High tower, thats when things like a little turn. “Ha, have you seen how long they’ve been working on that complex? F*ck ’em,” he says, taking a swipe at players and the long-standing memes around it.
Some players have long speculated that Rockstar might finally finish building the tower towards the end of GTA Online’s life cycle, but that seems a little unlikely given the new jibe.
