A Gungrave Gore remake titled Gungrave Gore Blood Heat is officially in development for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X | S.
Studio Iggymob announced its reimagining of the 2022 cult-classic action game during the Xbox Tokyo Game Show 2025 broadcast today. Its reveal comes with a trailer showing off its gameplay, which has been rebuilt in Unreal Engine 5.
Iggymob calls the project a "full remake" and a "complete rebirth" for the action game it released a little less than three years ago, with general director Kay Kim saying in an Xbox Wire post that "everything about Gungrave Gore Blood Heat is an improvement on what came before." That's thanks to tweaks to things like level design, visuals, and its combat system.
“But for veteran fans, Gungrave Gore Blood Heat is a tribute to everything they’ve loved for over two decades: the brutal combat, the stylish execution, and the unflinching devotion to its world,” Kim said. “With its combination of heart-pounding action, new systems, and the tale of revenge at its core, we call Gungrave Gore Blood Heat something more than a remake. For us, it’s a ‘Complete Rebirth’. The grave has opened once more, and vengeance waits on the other side.”
