Halo Top is handing out thousands of free pints for National Ice Cream Day—but only if your name sounds familiar in the freezer aisle.
From July 14 to 21, anyone with a first, middle, or last name that matches a well-known ice cream brand can claim a free pint of Halo Top.
The brand is giving away 8,000 pints in total, nodding to its eight new flavors released earlier in 2025.
How to get free Halo Top ice cream pint
To get your free pint, all you have to do is go to the Halo Top website to fill out the form. You will have to make the purchase first, however, and then submit your proof of purchase on the company’s site.
While there is an endless number of ice cream brands available, Halo Top has offered a list of some of the top brands to help you figure out if you’re eligible.

If you share names with an ice cream brand not listed on the site, however, Halo Top lets you link to that company’s website after selecting the ‘other’ option.
“Yeah, you read that right—those are the names of our competitors that we’re celebrating,” said Ryan Roznowski, Wells Director of Brand Marketing. “As true ice cream fanatics ourselves, we hope this National Ice Cream Day can be about sharing the love of ice cream in all its forms, flavors, and brand names.”
