In any normal year, Prime Day would be done and dusted by now. I’d be brooding over a spreadsheet, wondering where it all went wrong, and resisting the urge to buy a third-hand copy of Rogue Galaxy out of retail therapy.
But no, Prime Day 2025 soldiers on, and so do I. Still contemplating life, still trying not to spend too much money at Amazon, and still fighting the good fight despite IGN's best efforts to tempt me.
TL;DR - Best Gaming Deals at Amazon
According to my own extensive research (read: clicking around Amazon while muttering under my breath), physical video games are doing pretty well this year. And honestly? It's nice to see.
Digital has been chiseling away at physical media for years, but 2025 is seeing a bit of a resurgence, and I’m all the more for it. With publishers ready to shut down games at a moment’s notice, I'm increasingly inclined to own the things I buy, even if it means getting off the couch to swap discs like it's 2008.
Amazon’s latest “Movers & Shakers” data shows some big swings too, with titles like Split Fiction, Assassin’s Creed Shadows, and Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake all climbing the sales ranks.
So, being the very serious journalist I am, I’ve combed through the numbers to figure out what people are actually buying during Prime Day 2025 and its absolutely normal and reasonable four-day runtime (four days, really, Amazon?).
Nintendo Switch 2
Well, there's no surprise here. Amazon's finally pulled its finger out and started listing first-party Nintendo products again, and the general public loves the Switch 2! Invites are now open for the Switch 2 + Mario Kart World bundle at Amazon, so we're expecting a big ol' warehouse clear out of the new console incredibly soon.
But, those who already own the mighty hybrid console are having their say as well.
The Nintendo Switch 2 Pro Controller finally got its own Amazon listing, alongside the Samsung 256GB microSD Express Card finally being back in stock and at a reasonable MSRP. Both of these have seen gigantic 20,000% plus sale spikes in the past 24 hours. That's HUGE.
Snap both of these up while they're still in stock. Quite ironic the biggest items of the week aren't on sale, but we'll soon remedy that with the next item of discussion.
Plus, I've thrown in a few extra third-party accessory deals here that are also featured in the charts right now, just so I don't have to repeat myself.
PS5 + CoD: Black Ops 6 Bundle
Well, that's a bit disapointing. It's not even a Prime Day deal, Rob! Well it's just been listed this week and sales are up 4,681% - that's a big deal!
