High Noon has issued a voluntary recall after discovering that some cans in its Beach Variety 12‑packs were mistakenly packaged in Celsius energy drink cans containing vodka seltzer.
The company said a packaging error led to empty Celsius‑branded cans being filled with alcoholic High Noon seltzer. That means some cans labeled as its Astro Vibe Sparkling Blue Razz flavor may actually contain vodka, creating a risk of unintentional alcohol consumption.
According to the FDA, consumers who purchase the affected Celsius flavor outside of the High Noon Beach Variety Pack should make sure that their drink does not contain the affected lot codes due to concerns that they could contain the seltzer.
The recall was initiated after High Noon discovered that a shared packaging supplier mistakenly shipped empty Celsius cans to High Noon.
Which cans are included in the High Noon recall
The affected Beach Variety 12‑packs were shipped between July 21 and July 23 to distributors in Florida, Michigan, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Virginia, and Wisconsin.
Retailers in Florida, New York, Ohio, South Carolina, Virginia, and Wisconsin received the packs. No injuries or illnesses have been reported.
High Noon is asking consumers to check their purchases and avoid drinking any mislabeled cans. Customers can contact the company for a refund or replacement.
