At its latest Made by Google event, the search giant officially revealed four new phones: the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL, and Pixel 10 Pro Fold. That’s a lot of devices, especially when you consider the different colors and storage configurations. And we can’t forget about the Pixel 9A from April, which remains our go-to recommendation for a cheap Android phone.

All four include Google’s new Pixelsnap magnetic tech, a Tensor G5 chip, and seven years of software updates, but they differ in key ways, too. They share a lot of the same features
One of the big features in every new Pixel is called Pixelsnap, a system of built-in magnets that let them snap onto Qi2 wireless chargers, stands, cases, and other accessories. Google will offer its own Qi2 accessories at launch, including a magnetic stand charger with a detachable wireless charging puck. The regular 10, 10 Pro, and 10 Pro Fold can charge at up to 15W with a Qi2 charger, while the 10 Pro XL supports the top Qi2.2 wireless charging speed of 25W.
Google’s latest Tensor G5 chip, which the search giant says has been designed for the Gemini era, is another upgrade available in every Pixel 10 device. The processor enables a new feature called Magic Cue, which Google says turns Gemini AI into a more proactive assistant by providing information before you ask for it. When you call the hotel you’re staying at, Magic Cue can surface relevant details about your stay.
Additionally, Google is promising up to seven years of OS, security, and Pixel Drop updates for every new Pixel 10 device. That keeps in line with the seven years promised to last year’s Pixel 9 lineup. The devices also share the same IP68 rating for water and dust resistance — yes, even the Pixel 10 Pro Fold, making it the most durable foldable on the market.
There are some differences, too
The base Pixel 10’s dimensions and display specs remain largely unchanged from the previous generation. It has a 6.3-inch OLED display with a refresh rate of 60 to 120Hz, while Google has increased the peak brightness from 2,700 nits to 3,000 nits, making it easier to see in bright sunlight. Unfortunately, it doesn’t share the same main camera as the 10 Pro and 10 Pro XL. Instead, it borrows the 48-megapixel main camera and 13-megapixel ultrawide camera found in the Pixel 9A. The Pixel 10 is getting a telephoto camera for the first time: a 10-megapixel 5x, providing you with more flexibility to shoot portraits.
Stepping up to the 10 Pro series gets you nicer screens and better cameras. Like the 10, the 10 Pro has a 6.3-inch OLED display, but with a refresh rate of 1 to 120Hz, a higher resolution, and a slightly higher peak brightness of 3,300 nits. The larger 10 Pro XL has a 6.8-inch OLED display, also with a refresh rate of 1 to 120Hz and peak brightness of 3,300 nits. Both models have a 50-megapixel main camera, a 48-megapixel ultrawide camera, and a 48-megapixel 5x telephoto camera.
The Pixel 10 Pro Fold boasts a 6.4-inch OLED outer screen, slightly larger than the one found in the 9 Pro Fold, but with the same refresh rate of 60 to 120Hz. When you open it up, you’re met by an eight-inch inner screen with a refresh rate of 1 to 120Hz. While the 10 Pro Fold’s outer screen is a bit larger than last year’s model, it has a lower resolution (408 PPI versus 422 PPI). Both the 10 Pro Fold’s inner and outer screens offer peak brightness of 3,000 nits. It has a triple-camera system with a 48-megapixel main camera, a 10-megapixel ultrawide camera, and a 10-megapixel 5x telephoto camera.
