January 2026 brings a stacked month of competitive action to Fortnite, where players can earn in-game prizes and even cash for their Victory Royales.

Throughout January, players can jump into multiple Fortnite tournaments on PS5, testing their skills in both Battle Royale and Zero Build formats. All of that action leads up to the PlayStation Cup, the headline end-of-month event where the best performers earn a spot in the Finals and a chance to compete in a live broadcast.

So, here’s how to enter the Fortnite PlayStation Cup and how it all works.

How to enter tournaments in Fortnite

All you need to do is head over to the Compete tab in the main Fortnite menu. Here, you’ll be greeted by the full schedule of upcoming events, with details on the squad requirements and the rewards up for grabs.

Once you’ve decided which tournament you want to take part in, simply add it to your bookmarks, and you’ll be notified when it’s about to start. Make sure to check the full schedule, though, as many events have multiple rounds spread across entire days.

If you’re a PS5 player and really want to test your mettle, you can compete in this year’s PlayStation Cup for a piece of the $100,000 prize pool. This pot will be split across all the regions the tournament is available in, which are: Europe, NAC, NAW, Brazil, Middle East, Asia, and OCE.

It all starts with two qualifiers. Qualifier 1 takes place on January 27, followed by Qualifier 2 on January 30. Both qualifiers feature Battle Royale and Zero Build modes and are open to PS5 players looking to prove themselves against top competition.

While the qualifiers themselves will not be streamed, every match matters, as only the top 50 players from each mode in each qualifier will advance.

Those who make the cut will move on to the PlayStation Cup Finals on February 1, 2026. The NAC finals will be streamed on the PlayStation Esports YouTube and Twitch channels, as well as the main PlayStation YouTube channel and Facebook page

The finals work on a points system, where you’re awarded a point for every elimination and bonuses for finishing in the Top 10. Whoever racks up the highest score when the final match is done will be declared the winner.

So, if you think you’ve got the (Slurp) Juice to go head-to-head with the best Fortnite players, head over to the Compete tab and sign up for the PlayStation Cup now.
