How to craft Minecraft Golden Dandelion

Some Minecraft updates add Wolf Armor, others a new biome alongside a rather terrifying mob. Either way, the new Game Drop format promises regular updates complete with tons of new features for players to enjoy in their chosen seed. 2026 is no different, and since Mojang announced the redesign of baby mobs, fans have been going wild for the upcoming changes.

Sure, they won’t die of old age, but they will grow up, making those baby mobs a little redundant. That is, until you uncover the Golden Dandelion, a new item dropping in the game to keep your creatures young. Here’s how to craft it and what it’ll do.

It’s worth noting, however, that the Golden Dandelion is not officially in the game yet and is expected to come in a future snapshot and eventually the first Game Drop of 2026.

What is a Golden Dandelion?

The Golden Dandelion is a craftable flower in Minecraft. It’s used to stop aging on baby mobs, or unpause it if you’ve already given them a flower.

Specifically, you can feed it to a mob to freeze their aging, though it won’t work on baby monsters, tadpoles, or baby villagers.

How to craft

To craft a Golden Dandelion, you need the following ingredients:

1 Dandelion: Found in most biomes on the ground
8 Gold Nuggets: Smelt Golden tools or a Gold ingot (produces 9 nuggets)

When you have those items, head to a crafting table and place them in the pattern displayed below. Then, you’ll have a Golden Dandelion.
