Borderlands 4’s World Bosses or Rift Champion events pop up randomly across the map, and driving around hoping to spot a glowing dome can feel like a full-time job.
Luckily, there’s a system to it: once you understand how these Rifts work, where they tend to appear, and how to reset them efficiently, farming their rewards for your best builds becomes a lot less painful.
All World Bosses locations in Borderlands 4
Above, you can see a map that indicates every single World Boss location in Borderlands 4.
Rift Champions are random open-world bosses that spawn inside white domes across Kairos. World bosses don’t have fixed locations, so any Rift spawn can generate any boss.
Bosses you’ve already fought in story missions can reappear here with their unique drops intact. Just remember, stepping outside the dome instantly ends the fight.
Here’s a list of Rift Champions confirmed in Borderlands 4:
- Bramblesong
- Eddy ‘Four-Eyes’ Swoszowski
- Genone
- Horace (mission boss)
- Leadhead
- Lucky Lou & Handy Howard
- Psych0-Bot
- Ripsaw
- Spidanangall
- Sidney Pointylegs
- Struct Ghost
- The Exterminator
Completing a Rift always grants a Reward Package, which may include a legendary item, and defeating your first Rift Champion earns an achievement.
How to find World Bosses during Borderlands 4 Halloween event
During the Halloween event, Rift Champions become easier to spot thanks to a few visual cues. When you approach an active Rift outdoors, the sky turns orange and rain takes on a blood-red hue.
Horrors of Kairos legendaries
The Halloween bosses are currently tied to two exclusive legendaries:
- The Murmur: a Tediore assault rifle that deals bonus critical damage to low-health enemies.
- The Scully: a grenade that laughs and tracks targets before exploding.
Both drop from these Rift events until November 6, 2025, appearing inside the Reward Packages that enter your inventory after each clear.
Best World Bosses farming method
Heritage Opus cave reset method (Kairos)
Fast travel to the Heritage Opus safe house in northeast Kairos. Ride toward the water and through the waterfall to reach a cave where Rift bubbles spawn regularly.
If no Rift appears, leave the cave and wait about five minutes on the rock just outside, then re-enter. Most players report a new Rift Champion nearly every cycle. Defeat the boss, open your Reward Packages, and repeat for steady farming.
Southern Kairos seven-point route
Start at The Stockroom near Splashzone, then follow a clockwise loop through seven nearby Rift spawn sites. Check your compass and map for the small triangle/exclamation event icon and look out for glowing white domes.
I suggest you clear nearby mobs before starting, stay within the dome at all times, and open every Reward Package to check for event loot.
