Money can be pretty tough to come by in Escape From Duckov, especially in the early game, but there are a few ways to earn it quickly.

Escape From Duckov is a new top-down looter shooter from Team Soda that’s been blowing up on Steam since its release on October 16. It achieved a peak player count of nearly 150,000, outshining juggernauts like Call of Duty and Stardew Valley on the platform.

But don’t let its quirky exterior fool you, as an extraction shooter, it can be punishing. Cash, in particular, is tough to find, making it harder to buy better gear.

So, if you’re dropping in for the first time, here are some quick and easy tips to earn cash early on.

Don’t be afraid to sell

Your main source of income will be selling items you loot in each run, but it can be tough to know what to keep and what to sell. But as a rule, you only need to hang on to items that you really need, either to survive in a run or to craft your next item.

So, if you’ve got a stack of trinkets in your inventory, don’t hang on to them out of fear you might need them later; sell them at the Vending Machine. You can always go out and find more.

The only caveat to this is to make sure you have a clear idea of your objective and the items you need. After all, nothing is more annoying than getting rid of something you need and having to loot it all over again.

What not to sell

When it comes to other resources, such as ammo or materials like wood, we recommend keeping at least one stack handy. These are the types of items that you’ll need very often, for both combat and crafting, so it’s better to save them rather than selling, even if you don’t need them right that second.

However, if it’s not ammo or a crucial crafting resource, and it’s just a trinket, you can sell it without feeling guilty.

Complete quests

It might sound obvious, but make sure you’re completing quests if you want to earn cash. Especially in the early game, these are fairly straightforward to tick off, such as building a basic Workbench or using a healing item.

These offer instant cash for pretty easy objectives, so get them done as soon as possible to build up your economy. Some only award around 500, but it’s a start.

Sell duplicate items

Although it’s tempting to keep hold of any duplicate weapons in case you lose them in the future, it’s usually better to cash them in. Weapons are very valuable, especially at higher rarities, and they’re not helping you by sitting in storage.

The same is true for armor. While it’s incredibly useful to have one and maybe a backup, there’s no need to hoard loads of the same item.

Everything in Escape From Duckov costs cash, whether it’s upgrades, crafting materials, or new skills, so getting the money is usually the best option.

Easy cash farm

The most satisfying way to make money is by playing and trading, but there is a very easy way to farm it if you don’t mind the grind.

Simply head out into the first map and take your first right from the bunker. A Share Box always spawns here, usually containing a Crappy Glick. Open it and take the gun, before heading straight back to the bunker to reset the world.

Do this over and over again until you’ve completely filled your inventory, then head to the Vending Machine to sell your wares. It only makes around 40 money per weapon, but it can be done many times in a matter of minutes, without even having to fight.

It’s unlikely to make you a millionaire before you get bored, but it’s a great, easy way to make some early cash and get you started in Escape From Duckov.
