Fortnite players can unlock a free Harry Potter-themed Backbling thanks to a crossover tied to Hogwarts Legacy, and you can get it right now.
The surprise reward follows the announcement that Hogwarts Legacy will be made free on the Epic Games Store, which was revealed during The Game Awards on December 12.
The show crowned Clair Obscur as Game of the Year and delivered major announcements, including a new Divinity game, with the Hogwarts Legacy giveaway flying slightly under the radar.
How to get Harry Potter Back Bling
To get the Chocolate Frog Back Bling in Fortnite for free, players need to claim Hogwarts Legacy on the Epic Games Store and play it for at least two hours before December 18. Once the playtime requirement is met, the cosmetic will be automatically added to your Fortnite locker.
There are no in-game challenges to complete in Fortnite, as progress is tracked through your Epic Games account, so Hogwarts Legacy and Fortnite must both be played using the same account.
The free cosmetic also arrives as leaks suggest a wider Harry Potter collaboration is on the way, with datamined information pointing toward wizard-themed skins coming to Fortnite.
