The Verdansk Stadium roof finally opens in Warzone Season 5, but you’ll need to complete a few steps before you can access the new-look interior.
When Verdansk made its long-awaited return in Season 3, it brought some much-needed life back to Warzone. However, it wasn’t the same version of the iconic map that had been removed all the way back in 2021.
Instead, fans have been playing on the original Verdansk in recent seasons, meaning that the Train Station was unavailable and, crucially, the Stadium was closed.
That all changes in Season 5, as the Stadium roof is set to be blown off once again, only this time it’s up to the players to do it. Here’s everything you need to know.
How to complete Stadium roof Easter egg in Warzone
To blow up the Stadium roof on Verdansk, players need to complete the Satellite Hijack Contract. However, it’s enough for just one team to do it, as “multiple” squads need to do it in the same match for the event to trigger.
This Contract is only available from Thursday, August 7, until August 14 in both regular and Casual battle royale matches. After this date, the Contract will be removed, and the Stadium roof will remain open permanently.
Satellite Hijack Contract explained
The Satellite Hijack Contract is a multi-step objective that will be marked on your map at the start of a match. Once you’ve started it, the Season 5 patch notes revealed the following that need to be completed:
- Investigate a campsite to locate a decrypting tool.
- If a player has already has it, eliminate them and steal it.
- Hijack a relay module to begin the hacking process.
- Wait for the hacking to be complete.
- Watch the fireworks.
Once enough teams have done the Contract and the Stadium is open, it will remain fully explorable for the remainder of the match. For the first week of Season 5, it will be closed again at the start of a new match and will remain so if not enough teams try to open it.
Rewards
The reward for finishing the Stadium Easter egg and blowing up the roof is the returning Enigma Blueprint for the CR-56 AMAX. This was also the reward for the EE in the original Verdansk, when players had to hunt down keycards.
However, you won’t get the reward right away, as you still have to go into the open Stadium and track down a Weapon Case. If you pick it up and hold it for 60 seconds, the Blueprint will be awarded to your entire squad for the remainder of the game, before being added to your Gunsmith once it’s ended.
The devs have also teased that there are “secondary objectives” hidden around the location, but it’s not clear right now what they are or if there are any rewards for completing them.
We’ll be sure to update this page with a more detailed breakdown of the steps as soon as we’ve dropped in and done it for ourselves.
