The General Auto Insurance is teaming up with Twitch, Grammy-award-winning rapper T-Pain, and 16 popular creators for a one-of-a-kind Fortnite tournament, bringing custom matches, big-name streamers, and a flashy production to Twitch.
Set inside a fully kitted-out LED studio, the event blends frantic Fortnite action with live music, giveaways, and, of course, road safety.

How to watch The General’s Roadside Rally tournament
The tournament will be streamed live on Twitch by hostsThePeachCobbler and BonsaiBroz, as well as from T-Pain’s own channel. Alongside the main action, viewers can expect live giveaways, with free tanks of gas being given out between matches.
Things kick off with a preshow called Gas Station FM, featuring live DJ sets from the local electronic scene. Once the tournament begins, the hosts will take over from a custom-built studio set with a huge LED screen, making this feel more like a pro esports event than your typical Fortnite stream.
T-Pain isn’t just making a quick cameo – he’s also jumping into the action. He’ll be competing on both a driving map and the main Zone Wars game mode, with a car on the line for someone in his community if he pulls off the win.
Date
Fans can tune in to the tournament on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, at 4PM CST for the pre-show.
Format
The tournament will see 16 creators split into teams. Team captains will first run through The General’s Road Test Royale map to determine the draft order before selecting their squads for the main event.
This custom map takes place in recreations of cities like New York and Miami, and challenges players to get as safely as possible without hitting any obstacles.
Then, matches will take place across three rounds of custom Zone Wars followed by three rounds of Road Test Royale, with the leaderboard updated live after each game. Fans can expect full post-match reactions, replays, and even team comms piped into the stream to get a sense of the chaos mid-match.
Halfway through, T-Pain will take a break from competing to join the desk for a segment called Brake It Down, to dissect the biggest moments so far. The stream will close with a live giveaway and a final few songs from Gas Station FM.
Giveaways
Although you can’t take part in the matches themselves, there will be a number of giveaways to get involved in. The top prize is a 2025 Honda Civic, but there are also PS5s, Ray-Ban Meta Wayfarer sunglasses, and some Beyerdynamic headphones.
All you have to do is watch the stream to find out how to enter. The winners will be revealed at the end of the tournament, so it’s well worth sticking around after the final match is done.

- Launch Fortnite
- Head to the Creative or Island Code menu.

- Once loaded in, head to the San Fransico track.
- You’ll spawn in at the start line and the race will begin.
You’ll start with just one track set in San Francisco and a single vehicle to use, but the faster and safer you get around the track you’ll unlock new options to experiment with.
