The World Series of Warzone (WSOW) event is back, pitting the best players in the world against each other to compete for a $1 million prize pool.

WSOW is the annual Warzone event hosted by Activision. Played on Verdansk this year, it’s open to all, starting with in-game open qualifiers before the playing field is whittled down to the top 50 teams who compete on LAN.

Last year, Team Falcons’ Biffle, Hisoka, and Shifty won the $300,000 prize, with Nickool winning the Solo Yolo.

Despite cheaters infesting the lobbies, 2025’s top 100 teams from NA and EMEA have been selected from the in-game opens. Here’s everything you need to know about the schedule, format, and prize pool for the WSOW 2025.

How to watch WSOW 2025

The WSOW games will be streamed live on Call of Duty’s Twitch channel, but you can watch your individual favorites stream the game live on their Twitch, YouTube, and Kick channels.

  • In-Game Open: June 20-22
  • Group Qualifiers: July 8, 9, 10, 11, 15, 16
  • Upper and Lower Bracket Qualifiers:
    • Upper Bracket Round 1: July 17
    • Lower Bracket Round 1: July 18
    • Lower Bracket Round 2: July 22 (EMEA: July 23)
  • Qualifier Finals: July 29 (EMEA: July 30)
  • Last Chance Qualifier: August 22 (EMEA: August 21)
  • WSOW Global Final: TBC

The In-Game Open took place over the weekend of June 20, and the top 100 teams from the NA and EMEA regions will advance to the Group Qualifiers from July 8 to 16. It’s a round-robin format, where each group of 25 Trios will play against the other three.

Once these matches have been played, the top 50 teams go to the Upper Bracket Round, and the bottom 50 go to the Lower Bracket Round. The Top 25 teams from the Upper Bracket head to the Regional Final, while the bottom drop to Lower Round 2, where they play against the top 25 teams from Lower Round 1. The bottom 25 from Lower R1 are eliminated.

The top 25 teams from Lower Round 2 advance to the Regional Final, places 26-40 go to the Last Chance Qualifier, and the bottom 10 are eliminated.

Then, the Regional Final takes place, in which the top 15 teams from NA and EMEA advance to the Global Final. The bottom 35 teams then head to the Last Chance Qualifier, in which the five teams get a spot at the Global Final. There’s also the Wildcard round, where the winning team will secure the final spot.

Teams from APAC, LATAM S, and LATAM N will also host their own qualifiers, making up the final eight teams.

The region breakdown is as follows:

  • NA: 21 Trios
  • EMEA: 21 Trios
  • APAC: 1 Trio
  • LATAM S: 3 Trios
  • LATAM N: 4 Trios

Rules & settings

Rules

The World Series of Warzone 2025 takes place in an in-game playlist with the same rules as Ranked Play, so expect all of the normal loadout restrictions and game settings.

Any teams that advance to the Open Qualifier Bracket need to stream their gameplay with a facecam enabled and pointed at their face the entire time. You can check out the official rules for all the details.

WSOW Scoring

Players will get a point-per-kill when playing in WSOW lobbies, and their placement will multiply the amount of points:

  • 1 Elimination = 1 Point
  • 1st place: 2x Points
  • 2nd – 5th: 1.8x Points
  • 6th – 10th: 1.6x Points
  • 11th – 15th: 1.4x Points
  • 16th – 25th: 1.2x Points
  • 26th – 34th: 1x Points

Is there a Solo Yolo?

No, there doesn’t appear to be a Solo Yolo event this year, as it hasn’t been mentioned on any schedule or marketing.

Here, all the competitors would drop into a solo match where the sole winner would take home $500,000.

OpTic’s Seth ‘Scump’ Abner won the first-ever Solo Yolo, winning the (then) $100,000 prize. Fifakill, Skullface, and Nickool have won the subsequent solo games, but there doesn’t appear to be one happening in 2025.
