Gaming brand HyperX has announced it’s currently developing a headset that will use AI to read your brain and boost your gaming performance in a collaboration with Neurable.
Depending on how serious your gaming is, your keyboard, mouse, and headset can play a massive part in your performance. Being able to quickly move your mouse to grab that headshot or having a keyboard with different keybinds to swap weapons and equip different items are pivotal to success.
As for headsets, hearing footsteps, a creeper behind you, or acknowledging the smallest sound are vital to increase your performance.
Well, now HyperX and Neurable are taking that one step further by creating an industry-first headset with a neurotechnology backing to read your brain and boost your performance, all thanks to AI.
HyperX & Neurable create AI-based headset
During CES (Consumer Electronics Show), well-known gaming brand HyperX revealed that it was working with Neurable, a neurotechnology company that specializes in developing AI-powered tools for brain signal translation and brain-computer interface technology (BCI), to create a headset that uses AI to read your brain signals and aid your performance in a game.
The HyperX headset will use Neurable’s non-invasive neurotechnology, a tool that demonstrates how your brain can enhance player performance to read your brain signals and use them to improve your accuracy and reaction time.
As explained by BusinessWire, the studies show it works too: ” In a preliminary study with semi-professional esports athletes, Neurable’s neurofeedback ‘Prime’ system delivered measurable gains: everyday gamers and esports athletes showed faster reaction times, improved accuracy, and a higher number of targets during FPS training sessions.”
HyperX spoke out about the new product, explaining that “we’ve always been about empowering power players with the best technology to play, and now with our strategic collaboration with Neurable, we look forward to giving more insight into how one’s cognitive skills and focus impact their gameplay to ultimately make them as competitive as possible.”
So, it seems we’ll be getting headsets complete with AI, brain reading, and performance-enhancing technology very soon.
