Hytale players turn it into Call of Duty with iconic Black Ops 2 maps

Hytale players have turned the game into a first-person shooter by recreating two of Call of Duty‘s most beloved maps.

Although Hytale is billed as a sandbox similar to Minecraft, the beauty of it is that it can become almost anything. Thanks to the creativity of the community and a little help from mods, there are plenty of different servers to try out, from survival modes to hilarious minigames.

But if you’re looking for something a little more fast-paced, the Everlands.net server might be for you, as it turns the game into a PvP shooter.

Call of Duty fans bring beloved BO2 maps to Hytale

This server transforms Hytale into a frantic FPS that looks eerily like Call of Duty, complete with machine guns, grenades, and a kill feed. What’s more, as shown in this clip from ‘Dave Kratzy,’ it also includes a faithful recreation of Hijacked from 2012’s Black Ops 2.

Although it’s made from blocks, fans will still be able to pick out the key locations of the iconic map, which is set entirely on a boat out at sea. There’s the deck area where most of the fighting takes place, as well as the two vantage points on either side.

That’s not the only map on offer, either, as the same server also includes Raid, another classic from Black Ops 2. This is much bigger than Hijacked, but all of the hallmarks are there, from the sleek modern houses to the sculpture in the courtyard.
