IGN’s GOTY Just Got A 77% Discount For Prime Day
Metaphor: ReFantazio is down to just $15.96, marking a huge discount on an RPG you could realistically spend dozens of hours playing. It's also reduced on PlayStation 5, dropping down to $40 from its original $69.99 MSRP.
Metaphor: ReFantazio is, in many ways, a lot like Atlus’ Persona franchise, with dungeons to grind, a calendar to manage, and a party to level up, but it’s all packed into a refreshing fantasy setting that has a lot to say that remains pertinent a year on from release.
“Refining the Atlus RPG formula of weaving tough turn-based combat into compelling social sim mechanics, Metaphor: ReFantazio doesn’t just send a powerful message across its political drama, it becomes a beautiful expression of the real impact storytelling can have on all of us,” Michael Higham said in his review, awarding the game a 9/10 score.
At this price, it’s hard not to argue it’s worth a look for even more casual turn-based RPG fans, but don’t forget there’s a demo on the Xbox Store which will let you carry your save data over to the full game. Just don’t expect to beat this price in the coming days if you let it slip through your fingers.
