An indie game where players assume the role of a sperm as they compete in life’s greatest battle royale has gone viral, and players will be able to rejoin the competitive race in 2026.
Become (yes, that is the game’s real name) is an indie title that sets players on a quest through the human reproductive system as they compete with millions of other sperm for a chance to push new life into the world.
While not marketed as a sperm-based competitor to Mario Kart (a line I thought I’d never write), Become aims to provide players with an educational experience that sheds light on life’s most epic race.
Game about sperm comes to Steam in 2026
While everyone reading this article is already a winner and punched their ticket to life, this wonderfully weird indie game wants you to do it all over again.
As revealed via the official Steam page, Become is a short single-player, third-person adventure where you’ll get to experience the life of a little swimmer as they try to survive the dangerous microcosm of the human reproductive system.
The short trailer shows how players will be able to upgrade their tiny athlete’s swimming speed and various other abilities, all of which will help them to become the ultimate winner.
There even appear to be boss-like enemies that you’ll need to dodge and traps that need to be broken as you swim through the world’s first racecourse.
Become swims onto screens in 2026 and will launch on PC via Steam. A console release has yet to be announced.
