A small social media promise ended up adding hundreds of hours of unexpected work to an indie horror game, resulting in a 30-minute-long credits roll.

As reported by Automaton, the developer behind the indie horror title Twilight Moon Flower promised to include the name of everyone who liked their Tweet in the game’s end credits. Since posting on November 9, 2025, the tweet has drawn over 60,000 likes on X.

On January 24, 2026, the developer revealed that they had fulfilled their original promise after more than 300 hours of work, which resulted in an end credits sequence that runs for roughly 30 minutes.

“To get even a little bit of recognition for my self-made game, I made a promise to include everyone who liked it in the ending credits, and as a result, around 60,000 people gathered, but apparently, I managed to include every single one of them through sheer willpower over 300 hours,” the developer said.

The final runtime is far outside the norm, as most indie games like Hades 2 feature credits that last just a few minutes, with even major AAA releases rarely pushing past the 20-minute mark.

Twilight Moon Flower is scheduled to release on Steam on January 30, 2026, and is a Japanese-style horror game that lets one to four players explore dangerous locations haunted by monsters and supernatural phenomena.
