The internet is enraged after a viral video showed a Pokemon card scalper taking an entire shelf in front of a young child.
Pokemon card scalpers have emerged as one of the most infamous groups, frequently staking out stores for restocks and even following employees to multiple locations to buy up inventory.
Over the years we’ve seen card collectors even brawl in stores trying to get their hands on rare cards, much to the shock and horror of other shoppers.
Now, a card scalper is going viral for all the wrong reasons after a viral clip showed a grown man putting numerous cards in his cart while a boy could only look on and hope something would be left for him.
Pokemon scalper has the internet outraged
Video of the incident was uploaded to TikTok by user shis_tcgs and shows a boy standing waiting to buy some Pokemon cards with some money in his hands.
The scalper, a grown man, just dumps an entire shelf of Destined Rivals cards into his shopping cart. The video has been viewed over 1.7M times with the uploader asking viewers what they’d do if this happened to them or their kid.
“Instead of recording like a Karen, maybe grab stuff FOR your kid,” one remarked.
“Grab the stuff. It’s not his if he didn’t pay yet,” echoed another.
The video also made its way to Reddit where it got even more attention with commenters furious at the behavior of scalpers.
“Scalpers in general are just the worst types of people,” someone wrote.
“There’s a really great move I don’t think the kids these days know about, it’s called ‘Take, kick, run.’ My brothers and I played it all the time growing up,” chimed in another.
