The Marvel Cinematic Universe is gearing up for its next big release with Ironheart. The new TV show is just around the corner, so here’s exactly what time and date its first batch of episodes drop on Disney Plus, as well as its full release schedule.

Dominique Thorne made her MCU debut as genius MIT student Riri Williams in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, where she creates a suit that rivals the one built by Iron Man, hence the name.

In Ironheart, Riri returns home to follow her ambitions and explore the technology vs magic debate, only to get wrapped up with the mysterious big bad Parker Robbins, aka The Hood (Anthony Ramos).

With the superhero show bringing Phase Five to a close, it’s set to be a crucial stepping stone in ushering in the MCU’s new era. So, here’s exactly when you can dive in.

Ironheart will kick off with a three-episode premiere, all of which will be available to stream from 6pm PT / 9pm ET on June 24, 2025.

If you’re outside of the US, you may be getting the new episodes the following day, depending on your timezone. Here are the release times in different regions:

  • 10pm Brazil
  • 2am UK (June 25)
  • 3am Central European Summer Time (June 25)
  • 6:30am India Standard Time (June 25)
  • 11am Australia (June 25)
  • 1pm New Zealand (June 25)

You may have noticed that Disney Plus operates a little differently to Netflix, which tends to always drop new TV shows at the same time bar a few exceptions.

When it comes to the House of Mouse, series like Agatha All Along, Daredevil: Born Again, and Loki dropped at 6pm PT / 9pm ET, while Skeleton Crew and Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man were released at 12am PT / 3am ET.

How many episodes are there?

Ironheart Season 1 has six episodes in total, each of which are between 40 and 60 minutes long. The titles and the description for the first episode have been released, which you can see below:

  • Episode 1 – ‘Take Me Home’
    • “MIT student Riri Williams builds an advanced armor suit inspired by Tony Stark. While dealing with challenges as a young black woman in tech, she confronts a tech-based threat and must decide if she’s ready to become Ironheart.”
  • Episode 2 – ‘Will the Real Natalie Please Stand Up?’
  • Episode 3 – ‘We in Danger, Girl’
  • Episode 4 – ‘Bad Magic’
  • Episode 5 – ‘Karma’s a Glitch’
  • Episode 6 – ‘The Past is the Past’

Ironheart release schedule

Rather than switching to a weekly release schedule, Ironheart is simply dropping in two parts. The first batch of episodes arrive on June 24, while the second batch land the following week. This makes the schedule as follows:

  • Episode 1 – June 24, 2025
  • Episode 2 – June 24, 2025
  • Episode 3 – June 24, 2025
  • Episode 4 – July 1, 2025
  • Episode 5 – July 1, 2025
  • Episode 6 – July 1, 2025

The Disney Plus series was meant to arrive a lot earlier, having wrapped filming in November 2022. However, it was one of the many titles that were impacted by the Hollywood strikes in 2023, which had a knock-on effect on the release dates of other MCU projects.

In a conversation with TechRadar, producer Zoie Nagelhout explained, “As it did for so many shows and films, the strikes changed our release plan.

“As you can imagine, we [Marvel Studios] have a plethora of content that’s always coming out, and we want to make sure each piece gets its day. We don’t want them to compete with each other.”

When asked about the unusual release format, dropping the episodes in two parts, Nagelhout said, “Those decisions are above our pay grade, but I think it’s just about how Marvel and Disney distribute content.”

Fellow Ironheart producer Sev Ohanian added, “What I will say that’s exciting about it is the third episode ends with a major cliffhanger that’s also an evolution of our [Marvel’s] storytelling.

“I love the fact that there’s a week between these three-episode releases. If people want to binge watch them, they get to do so and then the wait isn’t long for the next batch to drop, so I think it’ll make for a good viewing experience.”

How to watch Ironheart

As you will have guessed by now, the only watch to watch Ironheart is on Disney Plus.

Given Disney acquired Marvel Entertainment back in 2009, new MCU properties will always be available on this streaming service, so you’ll need to sign up if you want to give it a go.

Although Disney Plus doesn’t offer a free trial, if you are on the Unlimited plan with Verizon, you may be eligible for a free six-month subscription.

As per the website, “For a limited time, if you have an eligible Unlimited plan, you can get Disney+ Premium (No Ads), the on-demand streaming service, included for 6 months.”

There’s a slight caveat: it’s not available to new customers, so you need to be an existing subscriber to one of Verizon’s eligible plans. You can find out if this applies to you on your Verizon user account.
