Disney fans were left shocked as rumors spread online claiming that its iconic villains will now only be at the parks during the Halloween season in an unexpected change.

The issue went viral in mid-October after a video surfaced online showing a park attendee named Adrian speaking with the Evil Queen from Snow White. Adrian asked her how she would feel once the season ends and “all [her] villain friends leave.”

“Then they take me with them,” she replied theatrically. “What will you do, Adrian, without me? I know I’m your absolute favorite, especially now that Maleficent will be gone, too.”

“If you leave, I’ll be so sad,” Adrian said. “I’ll have to tell people to revolt.”

“You’ll complain,” she replied. “You’ll start a revolution. Well, I’m counting on you, my dear. Next month is coming. Be ready.”

Another video shows the same actress urging Adrian to “go complain” and “tell them you want me, specifically, all year round.”

Claims that Disneyland would be removing most of its villains after Halloween spread like wildfire, prompting backlash from fans on social media who feared some of the brand’s most iconic characters would be getting effectively erased from the park experience.

Disney debunks claims its villains won’t appear in parks after Halloween

Disney has since responded to these rumors, with a company representative reportedly telling MickeyVisit that none of its villains are going away in some sudden seasonal shuffle.

According to the outlet, the rep confirmed that Villains are not being discontinued at Disney parks. They also explained that the parks often rotate much of their characters seasonally, admitting that there will be more villains present at Halloween than during the rest of the year.

That being said, the representative reiterated that Disney knows villains are important to fans’ experiences at their parks, saying “that is not changing.”

Fans of the Evil Queen can rest easy knowing she won’t be getting the boot after going viral earlier this year for her sassy responses to park-goers and hilarious interactions with fans. She’s here to stay — so Snow White better watch out.
