Roblox has been getting plenty of attention in the last few months after concerns over child safety began coming to a head. Now, fans are concerned the game’s shutting down forever.

It’s hard to deny that Roblox is easily one of the biggest games ever. Its population is massive, with fans diving into various games like Blox Fruits, Grow a Garden, or even starting ‘wars’ between two of the biggest games like Steal a Brainrot and Grow a Garden.

However, that doesn’t mean it’s untouchable. After Predator Hunter Schlep was banned and fans began a petition to remove their CEO, there are now rumors circulating that Roblox is about to be shut down.

Is Roblox getting shut down on September 1?

No, Roblox is not shutting down on September 1, so there’s no need to worry about your money, games, or Robux disappearing.

The rumor started when various posts on X began appearing, showcasing a message that appeared when they loaded up Roblox.

It read: “Official Announcement. After careful consideration, we have decided to permanently shut down our platform. This decision comes as a direct response to overwhelming popular demand, alongside growing concerns about safety and security/ While this was not an easy choice, we believe it is in the best interest of our community…. Effective September 1st, the platform will no longer be available.”

While this may seem official, after many tests, we haven’t had the same popup on our Roblox, and no announcement has been made by Roblox on any of their official platforms.

In fact, they continue to post updates and features coming to the platform, highlighting that the game will continue.

Previously, Roblox has debunked similar shutdown rumors, as this has happened before.

If they post an official statement regarding this, then we’ll be sure to update this article, but in the meantime, Roblox is continuing as normal.
