YouTube star IShowSpeed had to check on a group of fans after they made a dock bridge collapse while trying to meet their favorite streamer.
When IShowSpeed first rose to popularity on the internet, he was mainly streaming from inside his home. He’d play FIFA (now EA SPORTS FC), chat on Omegle, and react to videos. However, he has started traveling the globe now on some massive IRL tours.
The YouTube star has met thousands of fans on his travels, heading across Europe, Asia, Oceania, and South America. Yet, the tours haven’t been without incident.
Speed has, at times, had to leave cities and abandon planned activities because of massive crowds. He even swore off returning to Norway after fans attacked him during a trip there.
IShowSpeed rushes to help fans after dock collapse
In his newest European tour, the American has already had to flee Helsinki city centre and check on a group of fans after they made a dock collapse while trying to meet him.
The dock collapse came during his July 15 stream in Estonia after Speed hit the water for some watersports. A crowd of fans quickly took to a small bridge near the water to catch a glimpse of Speed, but it collapsed upon itself and ended up in the water.
The YouTuber went over to check on the group to ensure they were ok. “We gotta help them!” he said. “Everybody be careful,” Speed added as fans tried to climb out of the water. “Everybody good? Y’all good? They broke the bridge, bro!”
Speed still had time for his fans despite their danger, dapping some with high-fives as they waited for their turn to get off the broken structure.
A number of locals told Speed’s stream that it was “crazy” that the bridge collapsed, as he remained concerned for fans. However, no one appeared to be injured.
As noted, his European tours have been particularly wild. The streamer has required the help of police at times to get him out of massive crowds, and they had to be involved here, helping stranded fans.
He has already left Estonia, however, heading to Lithuania and Latvia for the next leg of his tour.
