Streaming star IShowSpeed was forced to flee Helsinki city centre after he was swarmed by a massive crowd during his European tour.

While he gained popularity for streaming at his own home, IShowSpeed has become a bit more of an IRL streamer in recent years. The YouTube star has gone on massive streaming tours all over the world, meeting fans from tons of countries.

Even though the streams provide good content for those watching at home, it has led to some scary moments for Speed, where the police have had to intervene. That has especially been the case in Europe.

The YouTube star is back on the continent for the summer, visiting the likes of Bosnia, Croatia, Greece, and Turkey so far. While the crowds have been massive, he needed to escape a big swarm of fans in Helsinki, Finland.

IShowSpeed needs police help in Helsinki

Speed is used to kicking off his streams and being greeted by a crowd of fans, but the start of his Finish stream went to another level.

He was quickly swarmed on by fans, prompting his security to hold him back as Speed urged them to “chill the f*ck out” and “calm down” by using a megaphone.

The streamer managed to make his way to an open square in the city centre, but then had to make an exit as fans kept grabbing him.

“Relax! We gotta go!” Speed told his security as they tried to exit the crowd and make their way back to their rental car.

While making their exit, the streaming star and his entourage were also stopped by police, who offered their help to get him to his next location.

That meant that any plans he had for Helsinki city centre, however, were off the table.

As noted, fans have been particularly wild during his European streams. Last year, Speed had to pay out around $50,000 because of damage that had been inflicted on his rental cars.
