Influencer-turned-boxer Jake Paul is gearing up for the biggest fight of his career against WBA lightweight world champion Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis.
According to Ring Magazine, Paul’s long-discussed showdown with Anthony Joshua has collapsed due to network conflicts, as Joshua is exclusively tied to DAZN. Instead, Paul will now step into the ring with Davis in an exhibition bout on November 14 at State Farm Arena in Atlanta, streamed live on Netflix.
TalkSport further reported that Netflix Turkey briefly leaked and then deleted a promotional poster for the fight, fueling speculation before the matchup was confirmed later on August 20.
The bout represents a major weight disparity. Paul fought his last match at 200 pounds, while Davis dominates the 135-pound lightweight division.

The fight also marks Paul’s second appearance on Netflix, following his headline-grabbing exhibition against Mike Tyson earlier this year.
Paul (12-1) is coming off a unanimous decision win over Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. His only professional loss came against Tommy Fury in February 2023 via split decision.
Meanwhile, Davis (30-0, 28 KOs) is regarded as one of boxing’s hardest hitters and pound-for-pound elite.
The Davis fight once again delays Paul’s much-hyped MMA debut. Despite teasing “multiple opponents” under the PFL banner, Paul remains committed to boxing’s biggest spectacles.
