Jimmy John’s viral Picklewich returned to the menu nationwide on October 27, with more ingredient options and a new pickle-flavored ranch.
The limited-time menu item originally went viral in 2024 after sparking a wave of reactions online and in stores. Fans shared videos showing the breadless sandwiches built entirely inside a sliced pickle, leading to widespread sellouts in multiple markets.
The chain confirmed that renewed demand pushed the Picklewich back into restaurants this year. It arrives with a wider selection than before, expanding the number of sandwich builds available.
New additions join the returning Picklewich lineup
This year’s Picklewich menu includes six versions: Vito, Turkey, Ham, Roast Beef, Tuna, and Veggie. Jimmy John’s has also added new pickle items, including Pickle Ranch and Pickle Jimmy Chips.
A new meal bundle called the Triple Pickle offers a Picklewich, Pickle Jimmy Chips, and Pickle Ranch together.
To support the return, Jimmy John’s partnered with Demi Lovato for a digital promo spot tied to the launch. The campaign highlights fan interest in last year’s debut and calls attention to the expanded pickle options in 2025.
Kate Carpenter, Vice President of Marketing at Jimmy John’s, said the company saw strong social engagement during the first Picklewich run, which contributed to its return with additional menu items.
Back in August, KFC revealed a “Pickled Menu” in Canada that featured a pickle-flavored chicken sandwich, pickle fries, fried pickle chips, and a pickle Pepsi to wash it all down with.
