Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 Episode 3 introduces several new characters who are about to play pivotal roles in the upcoming Culling Game Arc.

Adapting the Perfect Preparation Arc for the first few episodes of JJK Season 3, the story is all set to throw the main characters into Kenjaku’s deadly battle royale.

The game has reincarnated several ancient jujutsu sorcerers and awakened cursed energy within a select few normal humans.

Episode 3 introduces a mix of both kinds as well as a completely other being. However, they share one thing in common: they all contribute significantly to the plot and advance the story.

Hana Kurusu

In Episode 3, Tengen reveals that the key to freeing Gojo from the Prison Realm is Hana Kurusu.

Thanks to the Culling Game, the powerful ancient sorcerer Angel has reincarnated inside Hana.

Angel’s curse-cancelling technique is currently the only way to get Gojo back.

Kogane

Kogane is a Shikigami created by Kenjaku to monitor the Culling Game. The evil sorcerer cleverly made the rules of the game so that it continues even after he dies.

He has the Shikigami to act as the link between the game and the players. So, Kogane will make quite a few appearances in Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3.

Fumihiko Takaba

Failed comedian Fumihiko Takaba is one of the non-sorcerers who awakens cursed energy due to the Culling Game. He’s a wild card with immeasurable potential.

However, before he reaches his peak, his strange techniques will have both the characters and the audience scratching their heads.

More new characters will appear in the upcoming episodes. Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 is currently streaming on Crunchyroll, with the first three episodes already available. New episodes release weekly every Thursday at 9am PT.
