Kai Cenat has revealed that he turned down a $60 million gambling offer, explaining during his subathon that “not all money is good money.”
Speaking on Mafiathon 3, Cenat recalled being approached with the deal back in 2023 during his first marathon stream.
He said the offer would have paid him to promote gambling, but he ultimately decided against it.
“I learned that not all money is good money,” Kai told viewers. “A lot of the time, there’s going to be times and opportunities where you’re going to want to get money. $60 million to do, like, sh*t that I did not like. Gambling and stuff like that. I didn’t take it because I knew it would mess me up. I knew it would make me lose focus on what I’ve got going on right now.”
The Twitch star explained that despite the life-changing amount, he felt it was the right move to say no.
“I was 21, and anybody would take that. I said no. So, the first thing I did, I went to my closet, get off the call, I went to my closet and just asked God. I promise you, I got on my knees and I prayed after that, and I just kept working.”
He continued by stressing to his audience that money alone was not worth compromising his goals.
“Not all money is good money. Sometimes, people want to take the short route… But like, I’d rather take the longer route than the shorter.”
It’s strongly believed that the deal Kai is referring to is to join Kick and stream there. Adin Ross revealed that Kai had been offered $50 million plus equity in Kick, which he turned down.
Cenat’s Mafiathon 3 has now surpassed 1 million active subscribers, flying past the previous record of 728,000, which he set during 2024’s Mafiathon 2.
15% of the revenue generated from the stream will be donated to building a school in Nigeria.
