Twitch star Kai Cenat got a face-to-face meeting with current New York mayor Eric Adams, as he is planning another massive giveaway and doesn’t want to get into trouble this time.

Back in August 2023, Kai Cenat’s popularity was on full display for one of the first times. The AMP star was trying to give away a PlayStation 5 in the middle of New York City, but things went astray, and thousands of fans turned up.

Kai tried to navigate through the mass of fans, but was unable to, and that led to locals reporting what was happening to police. The Twitch star was eventually arrested by New York Police and was charged with inciting a riot. He eventually had to pay a $55,000 fine and apologize for what happened, but did not face a trial.

The AMP star has since had more controlled meet-ups with fans, but still wants to give back to his home city.

In a bid to do that, Kai managed to get a face-to-face meeting with Eric Adams, the current mayor of New York, to work through what he needs to do.

“I want to know, is there a world where I could ever give back on a big scale but in the right way?” Kai asked, noting he felt like there has been times where he couldn’t do so.

“Now that you see your influence, now you are going to another level. You can’t still do it on the level that you did before because now you’ve blown up,” Adams said, adding Kai would need to coordinate with the city like a major event.

“Sit down with my team, I’ll get the agencies involved, you map out what your plan is, what you want to do. Now you’ve got the city in alignment to make sure you can execute the plan.”

Kai added that he would “love to give back,” and at least do it “one more time,” but in the “right way” this time around.

“That day, I did have good intentions and I wanted to do it,” he added. “We want to make sure your good intentions allow you to do what you’re going to do,” Adams concluded.

So, Kai should be back in New York at some point.
