Cobra Kai actor Martin Kove was booted from a fan convention after allegedly biting co-star Alicia Hannah-Kim during a VIP meet-and-greet.
Kove is best known for playing the villainous John Kreese across the Karate Kid movies and spin-off TV series.
Kreese bullied Daniel LaRusso and his enemy Johnny Lawrence in Karate Kids 1-3, then did much the same in TV series Cobra Kai.
In latter seasons of the Netflix show, Kove’s Sensei Kreese teamed up with Alicia Hannah-Kim’s Sensei Kim Da-Eun, but over the weekend, the stars had an altercation at a convention in Washington.
Martin Kove allegedly “drew blood” when biting Alicia Hannah-Kim
The alleged incident took place Sunday at Summer Con in Puyallup, Washington, where both actors were appearing on panels and at fan events.
According to a police report obtained by Variety, Hannah-Kim told a Puyallup officer that she tapped Kove on the shoulder to say hello when he “suddenly grabbed her arm and bit her so hard he nearly drew blood.”
Hannah-Kim says she cried out in pain, and Kove then began kissing the spot where he had bitten her.
She then confronted Kove with her husband, and the report says he “exploded” in response, allegedly saying something along the lines of “how dare they” challenge him.
Kove reportedly told police the interaction was meant as a joke, adding that they “play fight all the time on the set of Cobra Kai.”
Hannah-Kim did not press charges but asked for a report to be filed in case Kove continued, while the actor was then advised to leave the venue and not repeat the behavior.
